Canada Night and Pipelines

Join us for the ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 25 from 4-7 p.m. with the Consulate General of Canada in Denver in recognition of the newly-named Plaza of the Americas. Guests will enjoy live Canadian music, food, beverage, and the opening of Pipelines, a temporary, public art installation by Canadian artist duo Julia Jamrozik and Coryn Kempster. This temporary artwork is presented by the Biennial of the Americas with artistic direction by Black Cube Nomadic Art Museum.

Fábrica de Arte Américas is a cultural warehouse curated and produced by Fábrica de Arte to take place during the Cities Summit of the Americas from April 26-30, 2023. The space will host more than 100 artists from across the Americas featuring music, dance, DJs, fashion, visual arts and mapping available for all summit attendees.

The best in emerging and established designers come to Denver from April 26-30 with Caravana Americana. For its first U.S. fair, Caravana brings the latest in Latin American fashion and home decor at the Cultural Warehouse next to the Convention Center in Downtown Denver.

Bomba Estéreo

Bomba Estéreo will perform at the official closing concert of the Cities Summit of the Americas on April 30, 2023 at Mission Ballroom. Bomba Estéreo from Bogotá, Colombia is known for their electro tropical and psychedelic cumbia music. The corridos singer Gabito Ballesteros from Sonora, México will be the opener to the Colombian band.

The Amealco Artisan Doll, better known as the Otomi rag doll, represents the tradition, customs and roots of our native peoples. The doll made by hand, mainly by women from the communities of San Ildefonso Tultepec and Santiago Mexquititlán of the Municipality of Amealco de Bonfil in Querétaro.
